With Halloween this weekend, it seemed appropriate to revisit a blog post I published last October about the 4th Esme Quentin Mystery, The Fear of Ravens, which was inspired by the history of witchcraft.

My grandmother said her father (b. 1840) was an herbalist in County Longford, Ireland. Not an unusual practice I imagine when there was a shortage of doctors or money to pay for them. Wish I knew more about this!
Glad to know you're working hard writing, can't wait for the next book. Thank you!

Oh how brilliant - what a great ancestor to have! Yes, wouldn’t it be fantastic to know more? It’s always encouraging to know readers are looking forward to the next book. Keeps me on my toes! 😂
